...for taking care of yourself.
If you need to:
- go for a walk
- have a nap
- get enough sleep
- eat a snack
- drink some water
- read
- swim
- write
- or do what you need to do in order to look after your emotional, mental and physical health...
...do it
You may hear people say, "I wish I could exercise while on the job!" when they're talking to someone whose very life depends upon being in peak physical condition
Or "If only I had the time to go for a walk!" when the person they're speaking to is taking a drug that decreases bone density.
Perhaps it's a quietly uttered, "Hmmph, I would love to take a nap during the day!" when they don't understand that the person is living with a chronic disease which requires getting adequate amounts of rest.
It may be that the person has learned how to transform their stress and is now doing things differently. They're taking better care of themselves and may appear to have changed into someone unfamiliar.
