A quick stop at the store almost became something more, yesterday.

There were a few bits of garbage (paper cups and fast-food wrappers) strewn about the parking lot. Ordinarily, those items wouldn't be a hazard, but the recent rain has turned them into a soggy mess - one that could become slippery.

Normally, I watch out for those hazards, but my attention was diverted by an on-coming car. Fortunately, I was able to recover - maybe this exercise is paying off - and avoid a fall.

When walking, watch out for those things that may slip you up, including painted crosswalks and roadways!
