Recently, I had the privilege of seeing Jessie's sketches. Suffice to say, that I was rendered speechless. I had no idea that my friend's daughter possessed such natural talent.

I then asked if they were familiar with Drawing from the Right Side of the Brain. I first learned about this book when I was teaching. A colleague was using the exercises in the book with her Grade Eight class.

I remember being present when she explained the process the students would be using: "We're going to do a series of drawing exercises which will get you working from the right side of your brain."

Jason quickly put up his hand and asked, "If we get over there, how are we going to get back?"
