Over the years, my surgeries and resultant hospital stays have caused me to create a 'Bring to the Hospital' list.
After the surgery is finished, here is what I ask my husband to bring to my room:
- toothbrush
- toothpaste
- face cream
- hand cream
- lip balm
- slippers
- cotton nightgowns
- house coat
- pillow
- pillow cases (I like my crisp cotton ones!)
- sheepskin blanket (fake or real - I sweat too much with those rubber mattresses)
- books (light, both in weight and in subject matter)
- paper and pen
- phone numbers of friends and relatives
- assistive devices, as described in the pre-admission clinic
What's on your list?
I sure hope that I do not have to go back into a hospital again!
Seconding that motion!
