#256 – Giveaway: Love and a Bypass Pruner

You had me at "Power Gear®"!  Fiskars' Power Gear® is one great idea that I would love to see incorporated into all sorts of tools. It has even been lauded by The Arthritis Society.

Last year, I bought the Power Gear® Anvil Lopper which is a good tool for cutting dry, dead growth. It was so easy to use that I got a bit carried away, lopping so much that my poor elbow took a bit of a beating. Rare is the case when I can act like the Ever Ready Bunny with a tool!

Wouldn't your gardening life be made easier with a Fiskars' Power Gear® Large Bypass Pruner? Thanks to the generosity of Fiskars®, one lucky person will be able to add this fantastic, joint-friendly pruner to their collection of gardening tools. Just remember not to over-do it as you get to work cutting all that live, green growth!

To Enter:

Please visit Fiskars®. Then, leave a comment here, identifying a Fiskars product you'd like to own, other than the one you might win, of course!

Your entries must be in by midnight PDT, on Monday, June 4th, 2012. On Tuesday, I'll draw the winning name from a hat. The winner, who will be announced here, will also be contacted by email.

This offer is open to anyone with a Canadian or US mailing address.

  1. Oh Marianna, how I adore the Fiskars range. Couldn’t do without my lopers and tree pruners, and I’ve been eying up this nifty pruner that you’re showing. Next on my list is the make-dandelions-a-thing-of-the-past weeders!
From your Sisters over at the Thrift Boutique 🙂

  2. I hope I win, because I can’t seem to have too many kinds of pruners for my often overgrown yard. Anything with Multi-purpose in the title gets my attention, so I’d definitely be on the lookout for the Multi-purpose Planting Tool.

  3. I love Fiskars products. They are always reliable and sharp. Being a Crafter, I would like to have the Photo Corner Punch — round. I like the paper trimmer as well. Thank you.

  4. I would love to have a pair of the Fiskars lawn shears to get into those little odd spot where you don’t want grass to grow. I would also take an extra set of scissors as mine are constantly getting misplaced by family members who borrow them – I want ones that are all mine!

  5. I love the heart shaped squeeze punch! Love my clients and have so many people to thank recently. I’ve been looking for a personal and unique way to do this. Ideas are popping in my head now!

  6. I would surely love to win these beautiful and nicely shaped Fiskars pruners! But I also would love to try their “Softouch Micro-tip pruning snip” as they look very confortable and easy to use. They would be a nice complement to my garden tools and I would use them almost every day. Pruners are very useful and you can’t garden without them. Thanks for this giveaway Marianna!

  7. ooooh, those 7″ “student” sewing scissors look good. I’ve been sewing for more than 25 years, and have not seen scissors sized for smaller hands. The design to keep fabric flat while cutting is ideal, although the purple handles seem almost disloyal to Fiskars’ orange!

  8. I would probably love the “cuts and more scissors”. They do the job of so many tools–nice to have them in one!

  9. I’d love their reel mower. I have one, but mine is very old-fashioned compared to the one of the Fiskars site. Also, I already have their weeder, and it is terrific. Not only does it realy work, the sliding action (that allows you to release the weed) feels satisfyingly like reloading a weapon–or at least those I see in action movies–I have no real experience 🙂

  10. Thank you to all of you who took the time to enter this giveaway, courtesy of Fiskars®. I’m pleased to announce that the winner is Kia. Congratulations!

Thanks, also, to Fiskars® for making such joint-friendly products and for giving me the opportunity to do this giveaway!

  11. I have received my lovely pruners. I really like the way the handle rotates while in your hand. It saves on wrist movement and pain. Thank you so much for allowing me to win this item. I love it.

    1. Now, I’ll bet you’ll find the ones you’ve missplaced. LOL!

I’m glad you’re enjoying that Power Gear. It’s a great feature, isn’t it?
