Since I decided against the ceramic stove top, I opted for the lift-top feature on our new stove.

It makes it easy to clean beneath the elements. All you do is lift up and scrub - no more snaking my hands in through the burner holes to get at whatever escaped the pot. The action is very similar to the way in which you lift the hood of you car to get at the engine, but much easier!
