I'll bet you're wondering if that is some kind of word game - you know, where you have disparate words that you have to fit together to form a sentence.
Well, it's not! This was a trick my mom passed on to me. You can be sure that I've used it upon more than one occasion. Usually, when I'm working on one of my blogs!
Rather than struggle with scrubbing, let several denture cleaner tabs do the job. Add a small amount of water to the pot. Then, strategically place the denture cleaner tabs over the burnt bits and watch them bubble. Or not. Let stand for several hours or overnight. Wash well.
Oh, that’s so funny, Marianna! We have some denture cleaning liquid because my daughter uses it for her retainer…now, I know what else I can use it for 🙂
By the way, do you have a suggestion for a non-abrasive gentle cleaner for the stove top when there is a burn? On my old stove top, I could get away with using Ajax and it wouldn’t scratch the stove top but not on my current white top one…it scratches so easily.
Hi Dorlee,
I’ve never tried the liquid. Will you let me know whether it works. Actually, I hope you never have the “opportunity” to find out. 🙂
My m-i-l introduced me to Kleen-Glo. A lot of the stores used to carry it out here, but not anymore. You can get it on-line. It does an amazing job, without the abrasion.
