After Monday's painful mishap, I give myself permission to:
- take it easy
- sleep in
- watch more television than I usually do
- get angry and transform it using stress techniques
- accept offers of help without inner writhing
If you feel out of joint, perhaps you need to give yourself permission to look after yourself.
What do you need to do to feel better? If you're having trouble answering that question, give yourself some quiet time - go for a walk, take a long bath or shower, turn off the noise - and ask. Your answer will be a quiet whispering, a yearning from the depths of your heart.
It may go against what you think you need. It may be something you once believed. Just listen and be prepared for anything.
