Not the Same Gal

During a disagreement, a friend's husband complained that she was not the same woman he married.

"Well, I hope not!" was her speedy response.

I believe that we are here to learn, change and grow. Her pithy comment shows that some change has taken place.

As a friend, I can say that this change has been for the better. Way to go, H!

As we gain new information and delve deeper into the depths of our soul, we grow. We throw away thoughts and behaviours that no longer suit us and enjoy the better fit of our new way of being. Or not. Some people are not ready to change their "wardrope".

As I continue to do this stress work, I notice changes within myself that I like a great deal. They haven't always been easy, but they are worth it!

In which ways have you changed for the better?

  1. Change for change’s sake is meaningless. There are certainly changes taking place in our shape, knowledge, relationships etc on a constant basis but sometimes, stressful situations can be created by social expectations. Quite how one handles this one very mature way is brought out in my two posts, the second of which is http://rummuser.com/?p=4364 I would really appreciate your leaving your insights on the latter though you will need to read the first to understand the whole story.

  2. Ramana,
Change for variety. Change for growth. Change because of learning. Change because of new information.

Or, “If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.” Seems some committees have yet to learn that when one hears of yet another study of the thing that has already been studied to death.

Put the kettle on! I’ll come by for a visit.
