A Plan for the New Year

This month on HealthCentral.com, I share an activity I like to do at the beginning of each new year.

If your resolutions have gone the way of the holiday garbage - to the curb - try resetting your GPS (Good Planning System) with this year-planning exercise. The great thing about Stop - Start - Continue is that it is adaptable; you can use it personally, in the workplace or teach it to your children to help them be more self-directed.

Combine it with brainstorming - quickly list as many things as you can think of under each category. Then go back and determine which ideas you wish to focus on for the year.

Stop - Start - Continue may be just the thing to get you back on the road to success and habit change.
